TEA LIGHT
En lloc de prendre te, prendre llum.
La forma és la tipica tassa de te, aquesta forma provoca un moviment cotidia
--agafar i aixecar la tassa.
Però quan fasis, s’escapa la llum no pots prendre mai.
Només has tastat l’efímer.
La tassa sense fons facilita a encendre i apagar el foc, un mecanisme tant simple per una peça utilitaria tambè podria crear una peça poética.
La llum és visible i de alguna forma és parpable, però tant efímer com moltes coses importants, així no té una forma concreta, però existeix.
Aquesta sèrie he dissenyat amb el concepte, que la peça utilitaria tambè pot ser poética i a l’igual que la utilitzem en la vida cotidiana, vull donar una certa alegria en el seu ús , no sols en el sentit visual.
TEA LIGHT
お茶ではなく灯りを飲む。
おなじみの紅茶茶碗の形は思わず手に取り持ち上げてしまう。
けれどそのとたん灯りはこぼれただ儚さだけを味わう。
底のないカップは火を付けるにも消すにも容易でこんな簡単な仕組みが何気ない日常を詩のような日々に変える。灯りは目に見え触れられもするがそれは多くの大切なものが目に見えず手でも触れられないように決まった形はない。
けれど、それは確かに「ある」。
TEA LIGHTシリーズはただ用の美だけではなく用の中に詩を作りたかったのだ。
TEA LIGHT
Instead of taking tea, take some light.
The shape is that of a regular cup, the ones we are used to. This shape causes a daily movement---to take and to raise the cup.
But when you do it, the light escapes and you cannot have a sip.
You have only tried something ephemeral.
The bottomless allows you to light on or put out the candle, such a simple mechanism can turn a utility into poetic piece.
The light is visible and concrete, but somehow as ephemeral as so many other important things, it does not have a concrete form, but it exists.
I have designed this series so they can be not only functional pieces but also poetic.
